Comedian John Mulaney opened up this week about some pretty big news: he's having a baby with actress Olivia Munn.

The former Saturday Night Live writer appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday and shared the exciting announcement with Meyers after the latter noted that Mulaney "had a year."

Elaborating on that, Mulaney told viewers that since last September, he "went to rehab in September," "got out in October," and "moved out of my home from my ex-wife."

"I host Saturday Night Live on Halloween, I relapse on drugs…Then in the spring, I went to Los Angeles and met and started to date a wonderful woman named Olivia," he said, referencing Munn, and adding: "I got into this relationship that's been really beautiful with someone incredible. And we're having a baby together."

Mulaney had been married to Anna Marie Tendler since 2014 and announced that they split in May of this year. Of that announcement, Tendler reportedly said through a spokesperson that she was "heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage" and wished him "support and success as he continues his recovery."

The 39-year-old talked candidly with Meyers about his recovery and how Meyers had been part of an intervention for Mulaney that precipitated his treatment. Mulaney told viewers that "you guys saved me from drugs, and Olivia and this baby have helped save me from myself in this early journey out of recovery."

While it's unclear when exactly their romance started, Munn and Mulaney met back in 2013 at Meyers' own wedding to Alexi Ashe.

The child will be the first for the couple. Prior to her relationship with Mulaney, Munn was in a three-year relationship with former NFL star Aaron Rodgers.
