She Left the Beatles, Now She’s Solo: Women in Business Video Series

In this final episode of CircleAround’s Women in Business video series on her (see the first of her four-episode arc here), we watch Annie LaVerdure-Weller progress from a cancer sufferer launching a new business to a confident, inventive entrepreneur.

“Annie should be so proud, being her authentic self,” notes her coach, Thresette Briggs. “She was trying to transform into something else she thought she should be. I would encourage her to be self aware.”

It’s wonderful to have somebody that is proud of me. That just means the world to me.

LaVerdure-Weller, whose Anne Josette website “for people living the lifestyle of cancer” derived from her own, continuing struggles with cancer, has a newfound confidence from her coaching experience.

“I am a strong, independent, and intelligent woman,” she tells Briggs. “I wish that more women — especially women of color — would say that to themselves when they look in the mirror.” [NOTE: LaVerdure-Weller is of Native American descent.]

“Working with Thresette,” she notes as the four-episode series concludes, “I feel like I’ve made a friend, someone I can trust. It’s wonderful to have somebody that is proud of me. That just means the world to me.”

She pauses to take that all in. “I’ve left the Beatles and now I’m solo.”
