Mint and Jalepeño Hibiscus Margarita Recipe

If you prefer summer cocktails that blend strong flavors yet still have a refreshing taste, this unique concoction of mint and hibiscus is sure to impress. In addition to being totally tasty, this drink is also a stunning pink color, making it a great cocktail for entertaining. 

4 Servings Prep Time: 1 hour, 15 minutes


  • Bundle of fresh mint
  • ¼ cup dried hibiscus flower
  • 2 oz tequila
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1 jalapeño, sliced and seeds removed


Before you can start putting all of your ingredients together, you first need to steep your hibiscus flowers in 1/4 cup of boiling water. After about 10 minutes, strain out the flowers and chill your pink liquid for at least an hour. Once you are ready to make your margarita, fill your cocktail shaker with your ice, simple syrup, tequila, lime juice, and 2 oz of your hibiscus liquid. Shake for 30 seconds and then serve over ice and top with sliced jalapeño for a subtle kick.
