Earth Day is April 22nd and this year’s theme is “Invest In Our Planet.'' One of the best ways to do that is to support brands that make it part of their ethos to give back to Mother Earth. When it comes to sustainable practices and conservation, every little bit makes a difference. From companies that plant trees for every product they sell to those that donate a percentage of their sales to organizations that fight to protect the Earth, there are tons of great products worth looking into.

Investing in our planet this Earth Day (and beyond) can be easy with the help of these eight brands that make it their mission to give back to the planet.

1Welly Bottle

Made with bamboo, a natural, renewable resource, Welly drinkware makes it beautifully simple to reduce reliance on single-use plastic. Available in several designs, there’s one for every personality type. For every bottle purchased, Welly donates a percentage of sales to water projects that bring clean water solutions to communities worldwide. Free engraving is available on every product.

Nomadix towels are made using post-consumer recycled plastic bottles and then printed in a colorful style instead of using harmful dyes (one of the world’s biggest polluters). The Nomadix towel is super absorbent, slip and odor reinforced, and lightweight. Whether your activity is sports, camping, yoga, or beach-going — this towel easily packs down small for all your adventures and you can feel good knowing that they’re a member of the 1% for the Planet and Conservation Alliance.

Sustainable and stylish water filter vessels helping to end single-use plastic. The Hydros filter is 5x faster than competitors and recyclable through TerraCycle. Available in three versions, a 20oz bottle, 40 oz slim glass pitcher, and a 64oz pitcher, these glass bottles look great on any kitchen countertop or dining room table and the carefully designed spout eliminates spills and drips so you can serve drinks with confidence when entertaining — and 1% of each sale goes toward ocean conservation.

From the garden to your cup, Vahdam is in pursuit to make India’s native wellness wisdom accessible to the entire world. For every Vahdam tea and product purchased, a percentage goes toward the education of their farmers’ children. Vahdam also partners with Climate Neutral and rePurpose Global to enable their climate and plastic neutral promise.

Reusable wool dryer balls soften laundry and reduce drying time up to 25 percent. LooHoo products are 100% natural, American made and support Maine’s local economy and sheep farming industry. Presented in eco-friendly packaging, these are inventive and inspire us all to live and launder responsibly. LooHoo plants a tree through One Tree for every LooHoo pack purchased.

6Boxed Water

Boxed Water is the leading sustainability-packaged water brand. At 92% plant-based (including a plant-based cap made from sustainably-grown tree pulp waste) and 100% recyclable, they have planted more than 1.2 million trees in partnership with the National Forest Foundation as a part of their ongoing commitment to support the planet and sustainability efforts. They are well on their way to two million.

7Save the Ocean Apparel Company

This Recycled Backpack from Save the Ocean Apparel Co. is made with recycled water bottles. How is that possible? Here’s the science: Water bottles are collected and chopped, ground, washed, melted and reformulated into high quality “chips.” The chips are then melted into a liquid Polymer and created into Filaments that form a fiber. The fiber is then spun into yarns and woven into fabrics, making Save the Ocean Apparel more sustainable. Oh, and the brand partners with The Ocean Foundation by donating 10% of their sales to the organization.

8La Monarca Bakery

A Mexican-owned brand proud to employ the Latinx community while creating products like Champurrados and Molinillos rooted in authentic Mexican tradition. La Monarca gives back by donating sales to ECOLIFE Conservation to save the monarch butterfly that La Monarca honors in its name. The monarch migration symbolizes hope, perseverance, and brighter days ahead to the Mexican people.
