There is no shortage of chefs, bakers, food bloggers, and foodies on social media these days, of course, but it can be hard to cut through the noise and find the ones most worth following. And in the current cultural climate, many are also looking to amplify Black voices, stories, and craft. This is a powerful reminder for us to continue to recognize these talented folks now and in the future.

We’ve parsed through the many, many excellent Black food influencers out there to cherry-pick our favorite ones. They not only beef up our feeds with incredible recipes to make at home, but also introduce new flavors, provide great photos, and even teach us some history along the way.

Trust us, your stomach’s going to be very happy.

1. Chef Resha: A self-proclaimed “food-obsessed recipe developer, Youtuber, personal chef, and home-cook,” Chef Resha’s creations are so mouth-wateringly attractive that her blog is called Carnal Dish.

2. Carla Hall: The Emmy-winning former host of The Chew is an expert on comfort food, and her Instagram feed throws fun and fitness into the mix, as well.

3. Kevin Curry: Want to multi-task? Here you can learn recipes —and also learn another language. The Fit Men Cook creator and spice purveyor offers his flavorful recipes in both English and Spanish.

4. Angela Davis: The self-taught cook and creator of The Kitchenista Diaries has a way of making everyone feel comfortable in the kitchen. She teaches fans how to make everything from delectable BBQ in the oven to blueberry cardamom buttermilk biscuits — and you don’t need a culinary degree to make them.

5. Bryan Ford: If you took up baking bread while in lockdown, you’re going to want to follow Bryan Ford yesterday. Come for his forthcoming book, New World Sourdough, stay for his Honduran and New Orleans-influenced dishes.

6. Yolanda Gampp: Baking enthusiasts, this one’s for you. Gampp’s YouTube channel, How To Cake It, is absolutely mesmerizing and has her making literal cake art. Her designs are inspiring in so many ways, but we can’t promise you won’t end up in a sugar coma just from scrolling on her Instagram page.
