Miley Cyrus is showing — and singing — her support for Britney Spears loud and proud.

The singer switched up the lyrics of her song "Party in the USA" during a performance on July 4 to a crowd in Las Vegas, exclaiming “Free Britney” in the midst of the song.

The exclamation has become the refrain shared by Spears' fans all over the world in the wake of her ongoing conservatorship battle. As Spears continues to fight for the court to remove her father, Jamie Spears, as the controller of her life and finances, Spears' supporters have posted the hashtag #FreeBritney on social media, posters, and elsewhere.

Cyrus tweaked her song at this weekend's show to include this lyric: "That's when the taxi man turned on the radio. He turned to me and said, 'Free Britney!'

The "Prisoner" artist also previously tweaked the lyrics of "Party in the USA" at her TikTok Tailgate show ahead of Super Bowl LV in February. At the time, she sang, "We love Britney!" Prior to that, in 2019, Cyrus told the crowd, "Free Britney!" during the song during a 20-minute set at the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, Tennessee.

Spears delivered an impassioned statement at a court hearing last month where she told a judge that the conservatorship was "abusive" and doing her more harm than good. While another court hearing for the conservatorship is scheduled for July 14, there have been some troubling updates in the interim.

The court-appointed attorney who has represented Spears for nearly all of the 13-year conservatorship submitted a petition to resign from his position, according to a court filing obtained by CNN, while her longtime manager Larry Rudolph penned a letter declaring he too was resigning.

“It has been over 2 1/2 years since Britney and I last communicated, at which time she informed me she wanted to take an indefinite work hiatus,” wrote Rudolph in the letter.

He explained that he "became aware that Britney had been voicing her intention to officially retire" and added that “as her manager, I believe it is in Britney’s best interest for me to resign from her team as my professional services are no longer needed.”
