The Funniest Things Women Did the Week of Dec. 20
It's that time, friends, when we bring you a roundup of the funniest things women have said and/or done this week for your laughing pleasure!
This week's post has everything: tweets, relatable vibes, Drew Barrymore, and a horse in the house. Let's get into it.
Here are the lol-worthy tweets we loved this week:
Some other moments that made up laugh-weep:
1This Ode to Adam Sandler, a True Fashion Icon
Vogue’s Liana Satenstein wrote an ode to this year’s fashion icon — Adam Sandler. It’s pretty dang funny. The piece declares 2021 “the year of the schlub” and explains how “Adam Sandler beat out Harry Styles, Lizzo, and Britney Spears as the top search for celebrity style.” The piece is quite incisive, but playfully notes that Sandler “oversized pieces seem to say ‘life is life’ and ‘clothes are clothes.’”
2This Relatable Dating App User
Sandler’s frequent co-star Drew Barrymore also makes the list this week for her painfully relatable anecdotes about using dating apps. The talk show host candidly revealed to an audience member of her show that using dating apps has made her “feel like such a loser and then you are like 'it is hard out there.'” She also divulged that she, too, has Googled all the guys who aren’t so forthcoming with who they are, what they do, etc. Stars, they truly are just like us.
3This Horse That Made Itself Right at Home
TikTok often makes us say, “What the heck is going on here?” but a video shared by user @jessica_goss this week really took the cake. The self-proclaimed “lover of animals” shared a video of her horse, who seems to start off by being simply curious about her house, and ultimately ends up in what appears to be her bathroom. “When your horse decides his paddock isn’t good enough and busts through the French doors leading into the master from outside,” reads the caption of the video. The real highlight is the creator’s daughter squealing in delight as the horse goes through a bedroom to go hang out and explore the bathroom. In response to a comment lauding her daughter’s laugh, @jessica_goss commented back to say that she was inspired to post the video because “who doesn’t need to hear that JOY these days.”
