With the New Year upon us, it’s important to set goals that will make this year the best one yet. One way to kickstart your inspiration is to start seeing what’s out there. A number of financial coaches, business leaders, and motivational speakers do more than just spout hot air. They have a wealth of resources (some free, others paid) that encourage folks to take action.

Here are ten inspiring business leaders to follow on Instagram, which will hopefully inspire you to pursue your passions — and get paid for them.

1Les Brown

Les Brown is a motivational speaker and business leader who has been giving fired-up speeches since the 1980s. He was previously a radio show host, eventually choosing to motivate others full time. His famous phrases include: “You got to be hungry,” and “It’s possible.” One of his favorite quotes is from author Charlie Tremendous Jones, “You are the same person in five years that you are today, except for the people you have met and the books you have read.” Brown claims this still holds true. “Sadly, people are not taking it seriously,” writes Brown on his website. “They stay the same as they are without even knowing it because they don't continue to grow their intellect with new material.” He offers a prodigy program for business owners.

2Alpha Leaders

This page full of inspiring quotes has over a million followers. The founders keep it focused and simple by limiting posts to one or two sentences, inspiring actions, resolutions, and goal setting. In short, this is the ultimate hustle account. Each image speaks for itself; they quote famous authors, businesspeople, thinkers, and a wealth of historic wisdom. This page helps to push you forward in many ways.


This page was founded by Victor Hathaway and started in San Francisco in 2014. With over 20 million followers, this account is for fledgling business owners just starting to move forward. He is known for simple, succinct posts that motivate and educate. One post reads: “When you’re about to quit, remember why you started.” Previously, he worked in marketing at Intel and Hewlett-Packard. He also runs the 6amsuccess.com blog. As Hathaway writes: “The goal is to wake you up to your inherent capacity of making your dreams reality.”


Ramit Sethi is a Los Angeles-based personal finance advisor, entrepreneur, and author. He wrote a book in 2019 called I Will Teach You To Be Rich which is partly based on a course he created called Earn 1k On The Side. He teaches entrepreneurs to triple their income and minimize unnecessary spending to get out of debt.

5Sir John Shin


John Shin is an investor, entrepreneur, and author. His bestselling book  How Rich Asians Think lifts words of wisdom from entrepreneurs across multiple industries. His company, AXIANTA Financial Partners Inc,. provides financial and investment solutions to individuals, executives, and major corporations worldwide. Shin was knighted by the Royal Order of Constantine the Great and Saint Helen for his global humanitarian work.

6Suze Orman

Suze Orman is a financial advisor, author, and podcast host. She is the author of over 25 books, including The Laws of Money, The Lessons of Life. She is a wealth of information and resources when it comes to budgeting, saving for college, buying homes, and creating a retirement plan.

7Didi Wong

As Didi Wong says: “Make your passion your paycheck.” Wong is a Hong Kong-born angel investor, philanthropist, author, and coach. She teaches entrepreneurs at her Yes Academy how to craft the perfect 'elevator pitch,’ enticing buyers and customers to purchase your services. She was one of the “Women of the Decade for Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital” from the Women Economic Forum. Wong hopes that she “inspires entrepreneurs to use their wealth to do something great.”

8Jim Rohn

Jim Rohn was a motivational speaker, author, and mentor to Tony Robbins in the late 1970s. As Rohn once said: “Self-education will make you a fortune.” He spoke at seminars across the globe for 40 years before his death in 2009. One of his most famous quotes is: “Don't wish it was easier, wish you were better.”

As a motivational public speaker and author focused on self-development, Tracy is a master of goal setting and organization for entrepreneurs. Today, Brian Tracy International helps to train individuals and organizations to be better in business. In a time when working from home is the norm, Tracy’s knowledge is invaluable. His most recent book is called No Excuses: The Power of Self-Discipline

10Sharon Lechter

Sharon is a business coach and the New York Times bestselling author of the Rich Dad franchise. She has helped thousands of people with wealth management through her coaching and online courses.
